South Florida

In South Florida, First Horizon Foundation provides grants to eligible nonprofits in the following counties, cities and surrounding areas: Broward County, Miami, Naples, Palm Beach County and The Keys.

Organizations we’ve supported in South Florida include:

Institute for Child and Family Health of Miami

One of the oldest and largest community health centers exclusively dedicated to the well-being of children and families in the state, the Institute for Child & Family Health serves more than 30,000 individuals per year. Our Foundation’s grant helps fund health, behavioral health, educational and prevention services.

Make-A-Wish Foundation of Southern Florida

Through our support of the Wishmaker’s Ball, Make-A-Wish Foundation of Southern Florida is able to grant the wishes of local children battling critical illnesses.

Baptist Health South Florida Foundation

Fishermen’s Community Hospital in Marathon, the only hospital in the Middle Keys, was destroyed by Hurricane Irma in 2017. Our philanthropic support is helping rebuild the hospital so it can continue to provide vital care to the community.

Guardian Angels for Special Populations

Our Foundation’s investment helps ensure that Guardian Angels for Special Populations can continue to provide programs and support for individuals with intellectual and/or developmental disabilities in the Cape Coral area.

Habitat for Humanity of Key West and Lower Florida Keys

Habitat for Humanity works to ensure that every man, woman and child has a decent, safe and affordable place to live. Through our support, 16 townhomes were built for families in the Key West/Lower Florida Keys community.
